La Fundació Nexe va celebrar divendres passat el IV Workshop de Democràcia i Participació, centrat a analitzar la nova dreta radical al sud d’Europa. La jornada, organitzada amb la col·laboració de Coppieters Foundation, va ser inaugurada pel vicepresident d’esta entitat, Josep Vall, i la secretària de la Fundació Nexe, Reis Gallego. Durant tot el dia va reunir persones expertes en extrema dreta a altres països del sud d’Europa, així com analistes del discurs i politòlegs que van desgranar l’electorat de l’extrema dreta a l’Estat espanyol o la seua evolució al País Valencià, entre d’altres.
En primer lloc, la professora Camille Kelbel de la Lille Catholic University, va parlar del Front Nacional sota la pregunta “és el gran guanyador del re-alineament del sistema de partits francés?”. Kelbel va explicar que encara és prompte per a parlar de re-alineament i que tot i que el Front Nacional és al focus, no és el guanyador d’aquest. “El resultat de les eleccions ha sigut un fracàs del sistema previ existent. Per primera vegada els candidats dels dos partits tradicionals han sigut eliminats durant la primera ronda del procés electoral”. La politòloga també va parlar d’En Marche, una nova marca política creada del no-res que s’ha presentat en contra del sistema tradicional i amb un fort personalisme, per als que Kelbel preveu uns bons resultats en les eleccions presidencials de 2020.
Seguidament va intervenir la professora Manuela Caiani, de la Scuola Normale Superiore de Florència, qui va explicar la situació de l’extrema dreta a Itàlia, on es troba molt atomitzada en diferents partits lluitant entre ells i on han aconseguit crear un suport popular i fins i tot cultural. “A Itàlia la dreta radical no està estigmatitzada com a altres països, ha estat present des del principi amb Berlusconi i la Lliga Nord i està normalitzada”, va explicar. Així, Caiani va posar l’accent en la penetració social que ha aconseguit la dreta radical i va acabar preguntant-se si el populisme a Itàlia és l’avantsala d’un gir definitiu cap a la dreta.
Una altra de les ponents va ser Susannah Verney, de National and Kapodistrian University d’Atenes, qui va explicar la situació a Grècia. “La ultradreta va aparéixer al panorama polític dret fa 15 anys. Hi ha un mercat per a ells, s’ha establert com un element més de l’escena política”, va apuntar. Malgrat tot, i a pesar que 1 de cada 5 persones voten la dreta radical, Verney va assegurar que en les últimes eleccions s’ha viscut un descens de la fortalesa de la ultradreta grega: un 18% menys que en les europees de 2014. “Alba Daurada, un partit obertament feixista, està de sortida i és possible que els seus líders acaben en presó, però apareixen noves alternatives com Greek Solution que poden aconseguir entrar en el govern”. Verney va posar de manifest que a Grècia hi ha una desconfiança absoluta en les institucions, una situació que afavoreix el creixement de noves alternatives, encara que siguen de la dreta radical.
Finalment, el professor Marco Lisi va tancar el matí parlant del cas aïllat de Portugal, on la dreta radical no ha superat mai el 0,5% dels vots. Malgrat tot, els seus votants s’incrementen en cada cita electoral, i segons Lisi una nova força ha aparegut amb força i podria trencar la tendència del país aïllada de la resta d’Europa. Es tracta de Chega!, un partit que va nàixer en març de 2019 i en les eleccions europees dos mesos després van aconseguir arribar als 50.000 vots. Alguns dels elements que expliquen el relatiu poc èxit de la dreta radical a Portugal són la poca importància del discurs antiimmigració, la concentració de vots en la zona urbana de Lisboa i Porto, l’èxit del discurs populista del Partit Comunista de Portugal, la falta d’un lideratge carismàtic i l’estigma social de l’opinió pública cap a la dreta radical.

La vesprada de la jornada va estar centrada a analitzar el discurs de l’extrema dreta espanyola a les xarxes socials. La lingüista Beatriz Gallardo va analitzar els eixos principals del lèxic, la retòrica i altres elements que conformen el discurs.

Els politòlegs Juan Rodríguez Teruel i Pablo Oñate van analitzar l’electorat de l’extrema dreta a l’estat espanyol i van explicar quin és el perfil de les persones votants: persones preocupades per la corrupció i la migració, amb sentiment de malestar generalitzat i, especialment, homes, majors i amb estudis. “Es tracta d’un vot sofisticat, informat, que prové d’exvotants del PP en la seua gran majoria, més un 6% de votants de Ciudadanos i un 6% de nous votants”.
Finalment, la politòloga Ana López i el periodista Joan Cantarero van parlar de la re-configuració de l’extrema dreta valenciana. Cantarero va fer un repàs per la història de les últimes dècades i va afirmar que, al País Valencià, “els membres de Vox tenen vinculació amb Hazte Oir, moviments antiavortistes i l’arquebisbat” per tractar de dibuixar el seu perfil. Ana López va posar damunt la taula que el País Valencià ha sigut la quarta autonomia que més diputats de Vox ha aportat al Congrés dels Diputats i ha obtingut 48 regidors de les 58 llistes presentades.
